Get some Grappa
Grappas for every taste are produced in the Berta distillery located on a panoramic spot in Mombaruzzo, at ca. 5 minutes from A Casa.
The noble brandies have evocative names such as Mito delle Ore, Tre Soli Tre or La Musa and show an almost unbelievable variety of aromas. The distillery was founded in 1947 by Paolo Berta. Today the family business is managed by his two sons Enrico and Gianfranco. They attach great importance to traditions and the love for the Piemonte region is shown by the fact that, for example, new types of grappa are often named after vineyards. The museum is showing the family history and has an array of interesting artefacts, including a vintage FIAT owned by the Berta family. But foremost a perfect setting to buy beautiful grappas and local delicacies.
There are daily guided tours with the possibility to customise your own grappa bottle at the BertaLab, for € 35 p.p. (reservation required).
